Careers at CDHS/Research Foundation of SUNY at Buffalo State College
A leader in the field of social services training and organizational development, The Center for Development of Human Services/Research Foundation of SUNY at Buffalo State College has a staff of nearly 400 staff consisting 120 trainers and senior trainers, and various other professionals and support personnel each of whom is committed to helping to deliver high-quality, outcome-based training and technical support to over 40, 000 participants and program area stakeholders all across the state each year.
In order to meet this demanding workload, our specialists are assisted by a full staff of professional curriculum designers, a publications specialist, graphic designers, multimedia and technology specialists, and evaluation specialists. These experts create innovative, compelling training materials, develop and administer cutting-edge training support systems, develop assessment instruments, and conduct real-time follow-up evaluations. Additional staff provide necessary office support, announce and schedule training deliveries, make travel arrangements for trainees and staff, and ensure that training-related materials are printed, compiled, and shipped in a timely manner.
While the Center’s headquarters are located in Buffalo, a significant number of staff are located at our training locations in Albany, New York City, Syracuse, and Rochester. CDHS/Reasearch Foundation of SUNY Special Projects staff are located off site at various statewide work locations.
As determined by our contractual needs, CDHS/Reasearch Foundation of SUNY periodically has opportunities for experienced professionals with a strong drive for excellence and a desire to make difference for the New York State community at large. As opportunities arise, they are advertised both in print and on the web. Since CDHS/Reasearch Foundation of SUNY does not recruit on a continuous basis, resumes are accepted only when a vacancy exists.
