General Reimbursement
Q. How long will it take to receive my reimbursement check?
A. You should receive your check within 2 to 4 weeks.

A. If you do not have the reimbursement form from the training you attended, please contact Registration Services at 716-876-7600 or RegistrationServices@bsc-cdhs.org to obtain the appropriate form.

Mileage Reimbursement
Q. How did you figure my mileage?
A. CDHS pays trainees for RT mileage from their office to our training site. We use MapQuest Maps to calculate this mileage allowance.
Q. I used E-Z Pass and don't have a receipt or know how much I was charged for the toll?
A. Please provide the entrance and exits you used and we will be able to figure your tolls for you.
Q. I'm not a designated driver; can I be paid for my mileage and tolls?
A. Your Staff Developer arranges carpooling. You are required to drive 3 to a car, including the driver. If you meet those requirements you can be reimbursed.
Q. What if I did not drive everyday?
A. As long as you are a designated driver or part of a carpool sharing the driving you can specify on your reimbursement request form which days you drove and you will be reimbursed accordingly.
Q. Can I be reimbursed for the miles I drove during the week from the hotel to the training and out to dinner every night?
A. No. That is considered local mileage and is not reimbursable.

Train Transportation
Q. Will I be reimbursed for traveling by train to training?
A. You are required to use the least expensive mode of transportation. In some instances, traveling by train is less expensive than mileage, tolls and parking at the hotel. You should, however, purchase the least expensive fare, not business class. And if commuting daily, you should purchase the weekly ticket for trainings that are more than 3 days in duration.
Q. Will I be reimbursed for parking at the train station?
A. No. Parking at a transportation terminal is not reimbursable.
Q. Will I be reimbursed for the mileage and tolls to get to the train station?
A. No. Transportation to a transportation terminal is not reimbursable.
Q. Will I be reimbursed for cab fare from the train station to the hotel?
A. Not in NYC. In Albany, some hotels do not provide shuttle service to and from the train station. In that case, cab fare would be reimbursed.
