As the NYC regional administrator, Cheryl manages the training and administrative space at the CDHS 80 Maiden Lane facility, and she also continues as a senior child welfare trainer. Her expertise includes a broad range of issues such as HIV/AIDS, maternal-infant wellness programs, and other broad child welfare concerns. She has conducted workshops on a range of issues, including adolescents and self-esteem, child safety assessment, risk assessment, teambuilding, and foster parenting for CDHS and for the Center for Court Innovation-Family Treatment Court and other organizations. Working on behalf of children and families has always been at the heart of Cheryl’s personal career mission. In addition, Cheryl’s concerns for children and families extends to the greater community, where she has worked with at-risk youth programs and has also volunteered her services to provide training for foster parents through the Harvest of Hope Family Services Network. Her mission as an educator can be summed up as a desire to commit to a broad vision…directing choices and actions to nourish life.
