Diane Novy
Unit Manager, Materials Duplication and Distribution

The manager of the Materials Duplication and Distribution Unit, Diane Novy oversees operations of staff who copy, collate, and distribute a wide range of materials used to support over 40 funded projects yearly. At the heart of her unit’s mission is the commitment to ensure that some seven million pages of curriculum, handouts, resource guides, workbooks, and assorted other documents and training supplies reach their proper destinations. These materials provide needed information to training participants and enable CDHS trainers and conference facilitators in widely diverse locations to concentrate on the other important details related to their assignments with full confidence that whatever they need will materialize in a reliable, timely fashion.

Diane was first employed as a unit secretary in 1980, back in the Center’s infancy. Next she served as administrative assistant in the child welfare unit, and about 15 years ago she assumed her present position. Over the years she has seen the phenomenal evolution of the Center’s print production requirements and capabilities, including the migration from early copy machines to the technologically sophisticated digital copier and scanner currently in use. While witnessing the growth and development of CDHS she also honed her ability to accurately forecast and fulfill needs, navigate the complex intricacies of document production, and successfully meet daunting shipping challenges and deadlines. Diane oversees a full-time staff of three (with the assistance of part-time help during peak periods) and she also deals with outside vendors and printers, all with an eye on maintaining ultimate customer satisfaction and optimum cost-efficiency.
