In 1999 Gail became a member of the CDHS College Relations Group (CRG) as coordinator of the Erie County DSS Employee Education Program (ECDSS-EEP) conducted at Buffalo State College. She assumed the CRG directorship in 2007 after serving as interim director since 2006. Gail oversees CDHS cost-sharing activities and the development of minigrant partnerships with Buffalo State College and University at Buffalo (UB) faculty and professional staff who conduct research and provide curriculum enhancements for CDHS training units. She also oversees the publication of the annual CDHS RFP and Compendium of Abstracts, which describes the Center’s anticipated needs and summarizes faculty and staff grant activities for the previous year. In addition, she supervises other CRG staff and provides general oversight of the ECDSS-EEP program, the Grover Cleveland Mentoring Program, the UB Doctoral Research Partnership Program, and various other CRG activities.

Gail, who holds a B.S. degree in Community and Human Services and an M.S. in Student Personnel Administration, brings a wide variety of career experiences to her current post, including several years working as a health educator for a private business and 12 years in the public school system serving as a classroom teacher for students with special needs and conducting school library research. Among her innovative initiatives at CDHS are the organization of the first CDHS Partnership Project Fair and the development and coordination of the CDHS Staff Wellness Program, an endeavor that is especially close to her heart.
