Marcie joined CDHS in 2001 as a project staff assistant in the Finance unit and was promoted to her present position in 2003. As Finance unit support supervisor she supervises a team of four staff members who are responsible for procuring training materials and supplies, handling accounts payable, coordinating and processing staff travel arrangements and reimbursements, managing consultant contracts, and coordinating meeting room/facility rentals for Center-facilitated events. In addition, she is responsible for the formulation of over thirty annual budgets associated with various projects implemented by the Center and works with the Research Foundation of SUNY in monitoring each of those budgets. Marcie, who played a pivotal role in the implementation of two newly developed accounting systems used by the Finance unit, now serves as the administrator of the current system.

Marcie holds degrees in business management and psychology and has over two decades of experience in project management, training, and support of accounting systems. Before joining CDHS she was employed with a software development firm that specialized in developing and marketing accounting systems for legal professionals. Beginning as a software tester, she was eventually promoted to project manager in charge of overseeing accounting system installations and supervising training staff. In addition, she created and administered departmental budgets and provided assistance to clients in the implementation and day-to-day use of their new accounting systems.
