Mike Incorvia was originally hired in 1990 to be the Center’s budget director, and at that time his role was overseeing an annual budget of $8 million. In 1993 he was promoted to his present post as director of finance. In his current role as the Center’s chief financial officer he is responsible for all financial transactions associated with its current $50 million budget, proposal preparation for new and continued funding, and for direction of the CDHS Registration Services unit. Mike works with other members of the CDHS management team, Research Foundation of SUNY administrative staff, and CDHS sponsor agencies to ensure precise record-keeping, fiscal compliance, and full accountability for all financial transactions, including staff and trainee travel as well as those related to internal operations and proposal budgeting.
Throughout his career in finance he has advocated for ongoing improvements to existing systems, simplification of processes, and reduction of costs to CDHS sponsor agencies. With the assistance and support of the energetic, talented, and hardworking staff of the Finance and Registration Services units, those goals continue to be me in a smooth and expeditious manner.
Prior to joining CDHS Mike worked in various finance-related capacities in public accounting and in the banking industry. In addition to having successfully completed all four parts of the New York State Certified Public Accountant examination, he has also volunteered his time and expertise to several community organizations over the years.
